Businesses in Pontypridd will be coming together on Friday 14th October to help fundraise for the ‘Turn Cwm Taf Pink’ day. This is being driven forward by the Your Pontypridd Business Improvement District (BID), a business-led and funded initiative which has been established for the town centre, working in conjunction with local charity Giving to Pink.

Pink bunting has been put up and many businesses will be turning their windows pink to show their support. There will also be a number of fundraising events going on throughout the town on the day. This includes pink treats on sale in Princes café and a donation to the charity for any afternoon teas booked between Thursday 13th and Saturday 15th. Boots and Barclays are other businesses who will be fundraising on the day and the WI will also be hosting a “pop-up” afternoon tea in the museum on Saturday 15th from 10:30 to 2:30pm.

Robert Thomas, Chair of Your Pontypridd commented “This is a brilliant initiative which supports a great cause. Your Pontypridd really pleased to be backing the day and hope that the businesses and the community will all come together and get involved.”

You can get involved by coming to Pontypridd and participating in the fundraising activities.  Limited edition Giving to Pink t-shirts are also on sale in local outlets of Panache and the Young Ones for a great price of £6. If you are unable to get down to Pontypridd on the day, you can also make a text donation to 70070 by texting BHBB39 and the amount.
