The Walk: Start time: 9.45am Meet for a 10.00am start
A pleasant riverside ramble alongside the Taff Fechan River, now an area of natural beauty but which still reveals historical remnants of its industrial past.
Meeting point: Cyfarthfa Castle (see address above)
Duration: 5.5 miles / 2.5 hours (approx)
Terraine: riverside paths, an old tramway route, open areas of Taff Fechan nature reserve, castle grounds.
Suggested Kit: walking boots/trainers/weather appropriate clothing, drink/snack.
Other information: Free parking. Toilet Facilities. Castle Cafe (open at end of walk but not before)
The walk is dog friendly although there are a few styles.
