The Giving to Pink Gala Dinner on Saturday 14th November at the Millennium Stadium was a huge success, raising an astounding £44,000. The Millennium Stadium proved the perfect venue for this wonderful night of glamour and generosity.  Emma Hignett expertly hosted the proceedings and our guests were wowed by top class entertainment provided by the bands “Bespoke Acoustic Duo” and “Cue Notes”.  The laughter rang out of the Stadium during Rod Woodward’s fabulous performance. Much loved actor Heulwen Haf received a standing ovation for her touching but humorous rendition of how she coped with her own very personal Breast Cancer journey.

A wonderful array of photographs were taken by our fantastic Event photographer Andrew Hazard.
Heads and Tails with a difference together with a 42 prize raffle which included a £2,000 state of the art television helped the funds come pouring in. A fantastic Silent Auction and a main Auction led by professional auctioneer David Harris included many “Money can’y buy” items.

A massive thank you to Giovanni Malacrino for sourcing and donating personally many of the Silent Auction and Auction prizes that raised considerable amounts on the night.  The Star auction arranged by Giovanni raised a whopping £3,000. The prize which was aptly named “The Real Italian Way” included a three night stay for two persons at the award winning Rocca delle Macie Vineyard in Tuscany. The Prizes included being Chauffeur driven in a Maserati (donated by Motorline Maserati,Cardiff) to the airport. The lucky winning bidder will enjoy a guided tour of the vineyard as well as an exclusive wine tasting session. Our thanks to Louise Hughes of Travel Counsellors whose services this auction prize included.

A donation of £10,000 on the evening from Corporate sponsor JR Smart was a wonderful surprise.

We are very grateful to our six Corporate Sponsors: Capital Quarter by JR Smart, The Giovanni Restaurant Group, 3-Sixty, Fine Wines Direct UK, The Millennium Experience and Introbiz for their invaluable support and generosity.

Giving to Pink is incredibly grateful to the team of fabulous volunteers who worked exceptionally hard during the evening and helped to make everything run so smoothly.

The evening was an unmitigated success and we are thankful to everybody who supported the event, particularly those who so generously donated prizes.  Giving to Pink and the Breast Care Team within Cwm Taf are delighted that we are one step nearer to the “Specialist Breast Care Unit” that we are fundraising for.
